CSI: New York will return this fall for its ninth season. Here’s the very first promo the show had from 2004.

Ted Danson, who joined CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in Season Twelve as DB Russell, was originally going to play a character named ‘DB Shaw.’

“No More Bets,” a CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode from Season Four, was originally titled “Who’s Your Daddy?”

Robert David Hall made his CSI: Crime Scene Investigation debut in season one’s “Who Are You?” The episode was originally named “The Remains of the Day.”

Post Production assistant Deanna Shumaker appears in a drivers license photo in “Turn On, Tune In, Drop Dead” during CSI: Crime Scene Investigations’s tenth season. 

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s 100th episode, “Ch-Ch Changes,” featured a guest performance by Lindsay Crouse. The storyline delved into the world of transgender surgeries, one that her character, Dr. Mona Lavalle, had done. To depict Mona as a male, CSI used writer Allen MacDonald in a photo. MacDonald then appeared two seasons later in “Burn Out.” 

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s season four episode “Eleven Angry Jurors” was originally titled “The Giving Tree.” 

Frank Gorshin (second from left) died just two days before his episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation aired. “Grave Danger” was his final television appearance. 

Alec Smight has directed 24 episodes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. His 25th episode, “Willows in the Wind,” is also the episode in which Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) departs. Smight also directed William Petersen’s (Gil Grissom) final episode, and will step behind the camera a few more times this season, starting with Episode 15.
