CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s 100th episode, “Ch-Ch Changes,” featured a guest performance by Lindsay Crouse. The storyline delved into the world of transgender surgeries, one that her character, Dr. Mona Lavalle, had done. To depict Mona as a male, CSI used writer Allen MacDonald in a photo. MacDonald then appeared two seasons later in “Burn Out.”

Smight also directed William Petersen’s (Gil Grissom) final episode, and will step behind the camera a few more times this season, starting with Episode 15.
